On 11 January 2016 Kayla was put to sleep. She passed very peacefully, at home, content, and in our arms. She suffered from a brain lesion, probably a tumor or clot. We'll miss her more than words can say. Goodbye, our beautiful girl. Here's one of my favorite photos of her, snoozing away, all wrapped up and content.
This is very sad indeed. I am so sorry for your loss. You can rest knowing you did everything possible to take care of her and show her that you loved her. Condolences.
ReplyDeleteI found your page looking for wheelchair blueprints for an aging, nearly immobile 15.5 year old black lab. I like to say she's 3 years past her warranty. My friends think the effort/resources invested in our dogs is crazy, but I just can't imagine treating them any other way.
I can tell you share that commitment.
I'm sorry for your loss. I lost my dog early last year and I know how hard it is. My thoughts and prayers are with you!

I am so sorry for your loss. Putting her to sleep was best for her. Being an animal lover and having had cats all my life I know your pain. Blessings.

ReplyDeleteKayla's memory lives on through the dogs you've helped with your work, including mine. Thank you
ReplyDeleteIt's a year later, so sorry if I am re-opening old wounds, but I wanted to express my grief at the loss of your lovely fur child. I hope she is happy wherever she is <3 . I stumbled upon your blog in my quest for wheelchair designs for a rescued paralyzed girl. Thank you for sharing. Peace and Namaste
